Pastor Harris
was raised in a strong Baptist home in Vancouver, Washington. He received
Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of seven and was very faithful to
his Baptist roots throughout his High School years.
He entered the University of Puget Sound in 1972 with a football
scholarship, and majored in Business along with a double minor in Psychology
and Religion. Upon graduation in 1976, Terry took a job with the US Treasury
as a Federal Auditor. During his travels around the country he became a very
serious student of the Bible.
He met his wife, Georgina, at UPS where she was also a student. They married
in March of 1978 and were blessed with a son, Timothy, in January of 1985.
While living in Seattle, the Lord came to him and called him to the office
of Pastor. In March, 1980, he received his license from St. John's Baptist
Church, and in March, 1981, he received his ordination papers. Shortly after
that he left the Baptist church, and with seven people started Tacoma
Christian Center.
Tacoma Christian Center is a non-denominational church located in the heart
of the inner city. Pastor Harris is now leading the body into prosperity.
We serve an awesome God and He desires the best for His people. John 3:2
states; "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be
in health, even as thy soul prospereth." T.C.C. believes prosperity is
for the entire man. Mental, spiritual, emotional, physical and financial.
God's people at T.C.C. are growing, developing, and receiving miracles.
This is a ministry that is effectively changing peoples lives for the glory
of God.
The supernatural through the gifts of the spirit is evident at T.C.C.
Divine healing for the physical body takes place on a regular basis. Hands
are laid on, prayer is made and God is instantly healing His people. The
healings range from backs, necks, shoulders to cancer, eyes, lungs and
hearts. Our "Faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the
power of God."
Pastor Harris preaches and
teaches the uncompromising Word of God. His ministry is touching and
effecting lives for the glory of God. Tacoma Christian Center is a church
